The Giant quilt that ate my bed
Here is the promised picture of my huge quilt! At the foot of the bed it hangs to the bottom side of the mattress where the side rails of the bed frame are. At the head of the bed it is folded back about 18 inches. On BOTH sides, it hangs all the way to the floor. And we have a pillow top mattress - padding on both sides - so it is extra, extra thick. My husband is beginning to wonder if I am capable of making a quilt that actually fits our bed. They are usually about 6 inches too short in width. Or like this one, way too huge. This would be the perfect quilt to have to share with someone who hogs the covers! No way they could steal this whole thing away from you!

Giggle. Ok, do we need to go through this, step by step? Measure the bed. Post the numbers right over the sewing machine on a sticky note. Refer to it often. Maybe add 4-5". But no more.
Actually, sweetie, it looks very nice. But does it slide off the bed at night and is too heavy to retrieve without straining a muscle? Love your bedframe. Very you. Did it pain Stacy too much to buy something stained, rather than natural?
Call me! Bill misplaced my address book. I have good news- shocked, I know.
Oh, big over-sized quilts are comfy. I think it looks just right. Put that excess at the top over pillows and voila.
I love them big and oversized! This is great! But I'm a cover hog!
Your huge quilt is awesome! I like big quilts. I usually make mine too small. Yours looks perfect. Love the colors, too.
