Cake, anyone?

This is a "diaper cake" me and a friend made this morning. She came over and helped me wrap the diapers up and get them into the tiers. After she left, I went to another friend's house to get some ribbon. She collects ribbon. Not sure what she plans on doing with them, but she gave me three different rolls to work with. I was very MAVERICK and made the bow thing on top. I think it turned out really cute. Better than I expected! It will be the centerpiece on the table at Saturday's baby shower.

If everything baby could wrap up and look so tidy all the time! You did a great job and I'm sure the shower will be lots of fun

Sarah ...
Been YEARS since I last saw a diaper cake ... when most of us still used cloth diapers. Not sure where to tell you to look, you used to be able to take lace top sox and make little roses for a mother's corsage too ...
Best wishes at the shower ...

OMG! What a fantastic idea! Definately going to steal that one day when I host a baby shower. Not like I ever do that, but when the time comes, I'll be ready! :) That is so so cool!

Cute cute diaper cake! I've never seen one in person, but I always wondered what they looked like because I've read emails to lists about how to make one......it will be GREAT as the centerpiece!
