Yes, I do finish a quilt every once in a while!

I managed to get the baby quilt quilted and bound last week in time for the shower on Sunday. The mommy-to-be loved it - along with everyone else in the room. Several future moms said that they wanted a quilt just like it when their time comes! I wanted to keep it for myself! I love the blue and brown together. Very rich looking!

Tonight is meet the teacher night at the kid's school. We already know both of their teachers. Ian has Maddie's first grade teacher - so I am very happy! And Maddie has a girl from church for her third grade teacher. Maddie LOVES Miss Nicole - so it should be a good year. Classes start on Thursday - at which time I am hoping to retrieve my house from it current state of filth! I have not managed to keep ahead of the mess this summer. Maybe with the kids gone for 7 hours each day I can get something productive done. Or maybe not!

Awww no wonder all the moms wanted one - that is a great quilt! Great fabric and an interesting but simple pattern. Have fun cleaning up!

Ohmyheavens!!! No wonder you'd have loved to keep it for yourself. It's GORGEOUS!!! I love brown and turquoise...and plain blue and brown...and pink and brown.... Thanks for sharing, Sarah!

Yeah, during the school year I think I'll be able to get more done once school gets out, but during the summer I imagine how much I'll get done once the girls are back in school. It's a pipe dream, that's all. lol!

Beautiful baby quilt. I can see why the mommy loves it so much. Anyone would be proud to wrap their child in such a wonderful quilt!

It is a great quilt, and good for you for getting it done on time! Now that the kids are back in school, you'll have time to do more quilting, which unfortunately means more messes, at least in my household!

Beautiful quilt! It instantly made me think of my aunt's house in the 60's. She must have used those colors, although I don't remember the details, just the feelings!

I like the colors too...they do have a vintage (not quite back to 30's 40's) feel. I really like the square focals of different sizes that just seem to float over the surface.

And, I really like you, too. XO
